RRAN(Revitalizing Rainfed Agriculture Network) is engaged in working towards relevant and effective policies, programs and increased public investments for rainfed agriculture to meet the development aspirations of people and needs of the ecosystem. A decade long RRAN is a pan India network of individuals, civil society, researchers, bankers, and those serving various institutions but are interested in the agenda. It works across rainfed areas of different states in partnership with partner organizations and state governments / Departments in furthering evidence for evolving effective and relevant policies. The network works across the domains of practice, policy and research. Thematically, the network engages with a natural resources integrated perspective on soils, water, crop systems, livestock, fisheries, markets and livelihoods. The Network is operated through its two arms, Network Hub (engaged with awareness generation, networking, synthesizing experiences and evolving the programs) and the Project Management Unit (PMU) – principally involved in managing the projects evolved in the network. RRA network is expanding its team servicing the network. The Network is looking for young and professional to coordinate working groups of various thematic area of RRAN. It requires extensive travel to the project locations across states (Rainfed Areas). RRAN is an equal opportunity employer. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
2-3 years experience in Agriculture and Rural Development with at least 1 years field level exposure in execution of agriculture projects covering soils, crop diversity, critical irrigation, SRI, crop insurance, NRM. Experience on convergence with Government Schemes, flagship programme like RKVY, NLM, PKVY, Understanding on Guidelines of Government schemes, Orientation of State Agricultural budget, Agriculture Policies will have added advantage. Skills on developing project proposals, project deliverables, milestones, networking with organization and government agencies will be essential of this position. Must with Excellent English writing.
Initial 3 months in Hyderabad and relocate in Eastern/Central/Western India as programme develops
- Servicing RRA network members (zone wise) to take up RRA practice to policy - Support local members to identify project / programme having policy path way - Support members to develop mainstream programme of RRA practices - Sharing of Guidelines / strategies of mainstream RRA prog developed in other states - Help members in customizing proposals for mainstream programme - Support in arranging District / State level policy dialogue events as per requirement of local members - Support members in developing state / programme specific Guideline for implementation of mainstream scale up programme - Organize district and state level policy events with members and Government departments - Analyze Government Schemes, Guidelines related to agriculture - Prepare documentation, case studies and reports - Support RRA Network Young Professionals for policy processes, program development, and networking processes.
CTO INR 5-6 Lakhs per annum depending on qualification, experience and skills.
Initially for 1 Year and can be extended to 2 years based on performance review after six months

Manage information input and output and handle operational aspects of programme-wide Management Information System (MIS) on proprietary software, and effectively communicate with various departments to facilitate implementation of the MIS system. WASSAN is a national level resource organisation supporting large scale programs in various states on natural resources management, rainfed agriculture and water resources. As a technical support organisation, WASSAN helps in the design of these programs and in developing the capacities of various functionaries and civil society organizations involved. WASSAN is looking for a Capacity Building expert to work full time in the central team to coordinate and support its training and other capacity building initiatives under various projects, mainly in Telangana and AP states. Persons with expertise and experience in the methods of participatory learning and action, developing capacity building modules, training methods, and having good facilitation and documentation skills may apply.
Minimum Post-graduation in subjects relevant to agriculture, natural resources, management etc., with about 5 years working experience may apply. Educational qualification may be relaxed for persons with longer and deep experience. Languages: Read, write and speaking of speaking Telugu is a must.

WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), is established in 1999 in Hyderabad. WASSAN is a network based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rain-fed areas. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. WASSAN has contributed substantially to development of watershed policies in various states and at Government of India. WASSAN helps in the capacity building of civil society organizations on various better practices in agricultural and allied activities. Currently, WASSAN is working as a strategic resource partner with various departmentsof the State Government, Andhra Pradesh for the Conceptualization, roll out and grounding of various development programs.
