WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network) is a prominent non-profit organization committed to fostering economic prosperity alongside ecological security for communities in rainfed regions across India. Since its inception in 1999 and based in Hyderabad, WASSAN has worked intensively in four states and engages extensively through networks in another ten states.

With an annual turnover of approximately INR 40 crores and a dedicated team of over 400 staffs across various locations, WASSAN implements impactful programs focused on natural resource management, rainfed agriculture, and agroecological transformation.


As a network-based organization, WASSAN strives to enhance the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and sustainable livelihoods. It plays an active role in policy advocacy at both state and national levels, particularly in the domain of rainfed agriculture. In addition, it offers field-level support services to a wide range of watershed development and livelihood initiatives implemented by civil society organizations in partnership with local communities. Currently, WASSAN has around 400 staffs across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, New Delhi and Jharkhand.

Program Officer (Civil Engineer Building Construction)

Location:

Parigi, Vikarabad

Reporting to:
Associate Director, WASSAN

Contract Period:
1 year contract with 6 months probationary

.
He/She has to perform the tasks as below:

● Levelling survey with using DGPS and Total station and plotting
● Activities plans and sections prepared with using Auto CAD software
● Works specifications writing and estimation preparation.
● Preparation of work rate analysis with using SOR/ Standard Schedule of Data Sheet
● Material specifications preparation for procurement.
● Able to use the Google earth and mobile applications use and training to Community Resource persons.
● Coordinate with architect and communicate with concerned team lead
● Reading of architectural plan
● Marking of building
● Identification of vendors and getting quotation for labour and material works
● Understanding of work site labour laws
● Dail work done reporting (labour, material and machine)
● Recording of Measurement Book and monitoring of men and material registers
● Monitoring of quality and quantity of civil works in the given field area
● Training to labour on ecofriendly construction with support of Architect
● Update on ecofriendly constructions
● The field area will be LRC Pargi Vikarabad district Telangana.

Technical Qualification:

● Diploma with 5 years’ experience or BE/Btech Civil engineer with two years’ experience in building construction
● Should know use of AutoCad software
● Should be proficiency in MS Office (Excel formulas)
● Able to Speak, read and writing in Telugu, Hindi and English

Clerk cum Accountant

Location:
Any District of Odisha

Period of Contract:
The contract will be for a period of 1 year, renewable for another year subject to satisfactory performance and project period extension. The engagement can be cancelled/terminated for any non-performance in duties, misconduct, or without assigning any reason thereof.

Salary:
Rs.30000 to Rs.35000 per month based on qualification & experience.

This advertisement is for the recruitment of a state Coordinator for the above-mentioned project.

Desired Candidate Profile :
● Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/MBA Finance/M.Com/MFC/CA (Inter)/ICWAI (Inter).
● Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience is mandatory.
● CA (Inter)/ICWAI (Inter) will be preferred
● Be very energetic and must be willing to work extra hours and on holidays.
● Proficiency in using MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially writing of the proceeding, Note Sheet and relevant drafting skills.
● Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
● Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
● Work experience in NGO/any development sector/Govt. sector or Govt. project will be preferred.
● Have experience of handling audits of projects, preparing balance sheets, so on and so forth.
● Not have any complaints against him by Government, Civil Society, Community organisations or Private agencies.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

● Coordinate with and train the partner NGOs on the financial norms and compliances.
● Coordinate and manage program-related data and MIS for the project at district level.
● Verify the MPRs of NGOs involved in the project
● Carry out daily accounting tasks and ensure efficient payments and disbursements according to the organization’s policy.
● Ensuring timely payments of vendors, training partners, staff, resource persons, and other stakeholders.
● Prepare and process invoices, reports, and other financial documents.
● Support the administrative team by performing general office duties such as answering phone calls, maintaining stock records, and managing correspondence.
● Organize and maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic, ensuring documents are easily accessible.
● Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination across the organization. Provide administrative support services as required and assigned.
● Deductions shall be applicable as per the organization’s norms and tax laws of the country.
● Age 23-38 years
