WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network) is a prominent non-profit organization committed to fostering economic prosperity alongside ecological security for communities in rainfed regions across India. Since its inception in 1999 and based in Hyderabad, WASSAN has worked intensively in four states and engages extensively through networks in another ten states.
With an annual turnover of approximately INR 40 crores and a dedicated team of over 400 staffs across various locations, WASSAN implements impactful programs focused on natural resource management, rainfed agriculture, and agroecological transformation.
As a network-based organization, WASSAN strives to enhance the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and sustainable livelihoods. It plays an active role in policy advocacy at both state and national levels, particularly in the domain of rainfed agriculture. In addition, it offers field-level support services to a wide range of watershed development and livelihood initiatives implemented by civil society organizations in partnership with local communities. Currently, WASSAN has around 400 staffs across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, New Delhi and Jharkhand.

Purpose: WASSAN invites proposals from eligible and technically qualified agencies, firms, or companies for the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, handover, warranty, and technical support of the Subhadra Shakti Bazaar E-Commerce Platform — a digital marketplace for products produced by Women Self-Help Groups (WSHGs), women-led enterprises, producer groups, and grassroots women entrepreneurs of Odisha.

Scope: The Selected Agency shall provide an end-to-end technology solution covering requirement assessment, UI/UX design, front-end and back-end development, multi-vendor management, payment gateway integration, logistics integration, ERP integration, security, testing, deployment, training, handover, and post-Go-Live support.

Procurement Method: Open competitive bidding under a two-bid system (Technical Proposal and Financial Proposal), evaluated through Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS).

Study on Pesticide/Herbicide Use, Decision-Making and Availability
WASSAN invites proposals from agencies, institutions and individual consultants to conduct a study on the actual application, decision-making process and availability of pesticides/herbicides. The study will pay special attention to banned and restricted chemicals still in circulation. It covers selected landscapes in Deoghar (Jharkhand) and Koraput (Odisha), under the project “The Green Evolution: Pathways to Food Systems Transformation.”
