WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad since 1999. WASSAN is a network-based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rainfed agriculture. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. Currently, WASSAN has around 300 employees spread in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Jharkhand.

About the Project:
In Odisha, WASSAN is associated with Govt. of Odisha as the Programme Secretariat for “Special Programme for Promotion of Millets in Odisha “(Shree Anna Abhiyan)”, a flagship programme of Dept. of Agriculture and Farmer Empowerment, Govt. of Odisha.

Job Responsibility:
• Video shoot & Scripting to be done as per weekly action plan, and project requirements.
• Organize and manage video files & footage.
• Creating and maintaining photo/video library.
• Upload and share video footage for documentation and promotion.
• Coordination to be done with project team of District & State level.

Required Skills and Expertise:

• Experience in photography and videography using DSLR/Mirrorless and other high-end cameras.
• Strong understanding of camera operations, lighting techniques, and composition.
• Knowledge of different lenses, framing, and camera movements.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs on time.
• Should have understanding & knowledge of script writing.
• Special preference will be given to the candidate having personal equipment and available to start from 1st April 2025.

Education requirement:
• Must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Making, Cinematography, Media 7 Communication or a related field.
Or

Young Professional (Shree Anna Abhiyan, Odisha)

Project:
Coordination Support Unit under Mission Shakti Department (MS-CSU) for handholding Mission Shakti SHGs involved in Millet Food Based & Processing Enterprises under “Shree Anna Abhiyan”

The contract will be for a period of 2 years after an initial probation period of 6 months, and can be extended subject to satisfactory performance and project period extension.

Salary:
Rs 30,000 to 40,000 per month as CTO (Based on experience)

Job Description:
1. Coordinate with WSHGs, NGOs, other CBOs, WASSAN team, and government officials of Agriculture and other line departments
2. Support WSHGs on millets and food based enterprise, processing enterprise, consumption, institution building and marketing.
3.Work towards developing linkages for market, financial, technical, etc.
4.Coordinate with different partners, collaborators, donors, to strengthen WSHGs
5.Ensure training, reviews, meeting, workshop organisation, program management, monitor project activities and regular handholding support to WSHGs.
6.Prepare reference/reading materials, modules/manuals/posters, IEC materials, videos, articles, etc.
7.Develop M&E plan including preparation of consolidated progress reports and regularly update all the MIS Database
8.Document business plans, DPRs, market plans, successful stories and disseminate through different channels and platforms etc. for the WSHGs
9.Regular field visits to different project locations and conduct regular monitoring/ review meetings with WSHGs and to ensure effective implementation.
10.Represent WASSAN in different forums/workshops/seminars/conferences related to WSHGs activities.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1.Candidate must possess a Bachelor Degree with Minimum 2 Year of work Experience or Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Rural Development/Management/ Development Studies or Social Work
2.Candidate’s age must not be more than 32 years.
3.Preference would be given to candidates having field experience in implementing or supervising & working with WSHGs. Experience of working on millets would be an advantage. Fresher’s may also apply for this position.
4.Candidate must be well versed with MS Office and Google web applications. Basic knowledge in budgeting and accounts will be an additional advantage.
5.Ability to work independently to achieve performance objectives and deliverables; &Work in a team and promote team spirit and culture
6.Candidate should have his/her own bike for commuting and possess a valid driving license.
7. Strong oral and written communication / negotiation skills in Odia (highly preferable), English, and Hindi.

District Program Coordinator

Programme:

Salary:
Annual salary of Rs.4.2 Lakh to Rs.4.8 Lakh (CTC) based on experience.

Job Description:
1. Coordinate with NGOs, Community based organisations and government officials of agriculture and other line departments in the assigned district.
2. Support NGOs and CBOs on millet production, processing, consumption, institution building and marketing.
3. Ensure training, meeting, workshop organisation, program management, monitoring project activities and regular handholding support to stakeholders.
4. Responsible for daily project management-both organizational and substantive matters – budgeting, planning and general monitoring, and feedback of the project.
5. Work in coordination with all district SAA teams, Clerk-cum-Accountant, thematic experts and Regional Coordinators under the program.
6. Responsible for facilitating periodical planning and reviews of the program with stakeholders concerned.
7. Responsible for reporting on project progress vis-à-vis indicators to District Administration, ATMA at District Level and SPMU at State Level.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Master’s Degree in Agriculture or Allied Science/ Masters or higher degree in Agri-Business/ Economics/ Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Social Work.
2. Candidate must have at least 3 years of field experience in implementing or supervising rainfed agriculture, natural farming, and organic agriculture programs. Experience of working on millets would be an advantage.
3. Candidate must have experience of working with Government Departments and NGOs.
4. Candidate should be self-driven in bringing in new ideas/ innovations with available resources and should have problem solving abilities. Experience of leading a team will be an added advantage.
5. Candidate must be well-versed with MS Office and Google web applications. Knowledge of Gantt charts, preparing and managing a monitoring system, and basic knowledge in budgeting and accounts will be an additional advantage.
6. Candidate will be stationed in the district and has to travel extensively for field visits and will be willing to travel to Bhubaneswar and out site state as per programme requirements.
7. Candidate should have his/her own bike for commuting and possess a valid driving license.

Job Description:
• Analytical and structured for preparing the budget sheets and business plan.
• Advanced quantitative analysis for detailed project report preparation

• More than 4-5 year of work experience in tier 1 & 2 consulting firms, NGOs/ Government organizations
• Extensive experience in the financial sector consulting space wherein he/she will be handling large procurements, documentation, GST, Tally, Advance Excel, Financial Statement Preparation, Internal Audits, Consolidation of accounts of Group companies, and the idea of Annual General and Special Audits.
• Intern CA, CFA Level – 1, or B.com/M.com. An MBA in finance is desirable but not essential.

Project Coordinator (Seed Systems)

About the Project:
The national program on Evolving Seed Systems for Traditional Varieties was initiated to build system-wide capacities among farmers’ groups, CSOs and Government institutions who are interested in traditional varieties to identify, collect, characterize, select, and multiply these varieties, to revive their use in local agricultural systems and to bring scientific and technical elements into their work.
Documenting and dispersing knowledge related to diverse landraces available to farmers, to promote these varieties in the natural farming and reviving Agri biodiversity.

Job Description:
The Project Coordinator will be:
1. Planning, monitoring, capacity building and implementation of the project.
2. Liaoning and Co-ordination with different stakeholders (Farmers, NGOs, State Departments, State Agriculture Universities, experts, State Seed Corporations, regional centres of ICAR-NBPGR, ICAR-IISS, ICAR-IIMR and etc.) for the development of a roadmap and implementation of the work.
3. Working with the partners associated with Sahaja Samrudha, RRA Network and WSASSN
4. Supporting organizing of review & planning, agenda development, extending the required support, workshops and consultations at the district and state level.
5. Documentation and Report writing as per the project needs.
6. Organising and participating in various district, state, and national level events.
7. Any other work assigned by the team leader when and where required.
