WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad since 1999. WASSAN is a network-based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rainfed agriculture. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. Currently, WASSAN has around 300 employees spread in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Jharkhand.

About the Role
You will be a strategic leader who:
• Develops and implements a comprehensive communication strategy for WASSAN.
• Oversees all communication needs for WASSAN programs and projects, including planning, designing, and execution.
• Manages and mentors the communication team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
• Works closely with program/project leads to ensure effective communication across WASSAN.
• Possesses a strong understanding of budgeting and financial planning to manage communication resources.
• Demonstrates exceptional creativity and technical expertise in digital communication channels.

Desired Candidate Profile
• Education: Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences (with a focus on development communication), Agriculture or Rural Development (with strong communication skills)
• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in communication, PR, and/or digital marketing, Preference will be given to those having expertise within the non-profit sector or a related field.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies. Experience in managing and motivating a communication team (a plus).

• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Telugu.
• Excellent writing, editing, and decision-making skills.

Intern (Social Media Management)

About the Role:

The ideal candidate is a creative and social media-savvy individual with a strong understanding of visual communication and a passion for agriculture and related fields.

Desired Candidate Profile and Experience:
• Managing key social media platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, YouTube and Google Business)
• Basic graphic and video editing skills
• Proficiency in Google Drive suite
• Graphic / aesthetic sensitivity
• Competent written and verbal English and at least one more Indian language.

Prior knowledge is highly preferable in:
• Basics of social media campaigns, graphic designing and community engagement

Responsibilities Social Media Intern –

• Development and execution of a Social Media Strategy & plan
• Manage social media platforms of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google Business and Linked In, including: Compelling video and written content creation in line with WASSAN’s values, Engaging with audience and timely responses to queries and comments Campaigns and Collaborations
• Coordinate social media campaigns and promotions for all projects and activities of WASSAN
• Regularly submit analytics and reports of the impact of WASSAN’s social media engagement and activities
• Stay current with and respond to agriculture and allied landscape research and developments, with appreciation for the complexity of this topic
• Research and apply metrics, new tools and technologies (e.g. AI) for enhancing our output and analysis Audience Engagement
• Maintain warm, prompt and professional communications in response to all enquiries and comments that accurately represents WASSAN’s values

About HDFC Parivartan:

HDFC Parivartan focuses on fostering the circular economy at the gram panchayat level, promoting rural enterprises to develop decentralised supply chains for the village economy. As part of the project, Millet-based enterprises are being established in identified clusters in Seetampeta. Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh.

About Role:
As a Marketing Intern, you will play a pivotal role in various stages of food enterprise marketing and sales, contributing to the promotion of rural enterprises and the development of localised supply chains. This internship provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, offering broad exposure to various aspects of enterprise management and marketing.

Administrative Support and Office Coordinator

About Role:
Seeking an energetic and proactive individual to join our team as an Admin Support and Office Coordinator. This role is key in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing essential assistance across various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
(a) Administrative support:
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including but not limited to managing correspondence, filing documents, and organizing schedules.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Support in procurement related tasks
• Maintain stock registers of office procurement
• Logistics Coordination:
• Oversee the setup and maintenance of office equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate and schedule office vehicles for pickups, drops, and shipments as required.
• Meetings and Events Coordination:
• Assist in scheduling meetings, appointments, and events, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.
• Set up and prepare meeting rooms, including arranging audio-visual equipment and refreshments.
• Coordinate logistics for off-site meetings, conferences, and training sessions.

(b) Travel arrangements:
• Assist in making travel arrangements for staff/ visitors/ guests, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation.

Technical Support:
• Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for computer systems, printers, internet connectivity, local area network and other office equipment.

• Maintain and clean datasets to ensure data integrity and consistency.

• Generate reports and summaries from compiled data as needed.

• Assist with the creation and maintenance of various HR documents, including meeting notices, agendas, and minutes. Assist with maintaining employee data in HR systems, generating reports, and conducting basic data analysis.

• Assist with sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews for open positions. Help prepare on-boarding materials and welcome new employees.

• Assist with processing employee paperwork, managing leaves of absence, and providing basic support to staff on HR-related inquiries.

• Assist with HR projects such as training program development, employee engagement initiatives, and compensation and benefits research.

Qualification and expertise:

MIS cum Data Manager (Odisha Millet Mission)

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain project MIS and database for different project activities (both program and finance) under the guidance of state team.

• Develop formats for different projects activities.

• Data analysis and data visualisation of the project information including dashboards.

• Follow up district and state level team members for data collection and reports.

• Preparation of reports/PPTs for the project review, coordination, and other meetings.

• Consolidation of reports received from various stakeholders from the field level.

• Coordinate with IT/technical/project management team in development of forms/IT applications/Software tools.

• Coordinate and train the state and district teams on data collection and IT applications.

• Any other works assigned by the organization.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Must be a bachelor’s in Informatics/Commerce/IT/BCA/MCA/MCom

• Must have good knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PPT, Google Spreadsheet etc. Knowledge of SPSS, Tableau or any other Project MIS/statistical software will be added advantage.

• Must be willing to work beyond regular office hour in case of urgency.

• Preferably have experience in managing MIS for government projects.

• Have experience of handling audits of projects, preparing financial reports etc.

• Have experience in data management for the project.

• Have good report writing skills in English and Odiya.

• Experience of working with NGOs, Govt and FPOs will be an added advantage.

• Not have any complaints against him by Government, Civil Society, Community organizations or private agencies.
