WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad since 1999. WASSAN is a network-based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rainfed agriculture. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. Currently WASSAN has around 300 employees spread in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Jharkhand.

Programme:
Government of Odisha initiated “Special programme for promotion of integrated farming (SPPIF) in tribal areas” in 2016. SPPIF is focused on integration of different production systems such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Livestock, Fisheries, Agro forestry through integration of different schemes. It is implemented in a cluster approach with each cluster being a number of contiguous patches of approximately 100 Ha. – 250 Ha. The programme plans to cover at least 600 farm families in 4 years. Directorate of Agriculture & Food Production (DA&FP) is the state level nodal agency and ATMA is the district level nodal agency. Project is implemented by FPOs with support of NGOs at cluster level (10 GPs), State Secretariat (NCDS & WASSAN), ATMA and DA&FP, Odisha as per the guidelines of SPPIF. Job Description:
1. Liaising with Senior Government Officials and District level officials for grounding the programme.
2. Planning, Coordination and Management of the programme with different state level departments on integrated farming.
3. Troubleshooting to ensure smooth delivery of the project.
4. Data analysis and report preparation.
5. Regular field visits and monitoring of the programme at least 15-20 days a month.
6. Overseeing Capacity Building and CB Management of management of AT MA, NGOs and Community resource persons.
7. Documentation of Case studies, reports, etc. Video documentation skills will be an added advantage.
8. Motivating the District Coordinators, ATMA and NGO staff to deliver the project.
Desired Candidate Profile:
1. Should have full time Masters in Agriculture/Rural Management/Rural development/Agri Business Management/Other relevant work.
2. Should have at least 7 years of total experiences and minimum of 5 years of experiences in agriculture or agriculture based livelihoods. Minimum 2 years of experience in Leadership roles.
3. Should have demonstrable experience of liaising with State Government officials. Experience in management, administration and liaisoning projects at state level is a mandatory criterion.
4. Should have knowledge of project planning and coordination with departments.
5. Should have a good understanding of project accounts and finances.
6. Should possess strong presentation and articulation skills (both verbal and written). Ability to speak fluently in English and Hindi is a must. Knowledge of Oriya will be an added advantage.
7. Should be willing to work out of Bhubaneswar or any other regional location.
8. Should be willing to work as per Odisha holiday calendar. Should be willing to work on holidays and long hours as per the requirement of the project.
9. Should be very motivated and be a team player. Should be willing to be flexible with location and work timings. Has strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and has an experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

Job Description:
● Maintain relationship and liaison with internal staff, district level officials / concerned government departments and external stakeholder and provide required support, as per project need.
● Ensure convergence of different schemes and timely follow up with department officials.
● Coordinate with NGOs, Community organizations and government officials in project locations at different levels.
● Ensure coordination for smooth implementation of different project activities, monitoring and handholding support to field team
● Effectively communicate findings, internally and apply learning to work plans and activities
● Assist in daily project management – both organizational and substantive matters budgeting, planning and general monitoring of the project.
● Facilitating monthly review of the program by District Administration and ATMA and reporting on project progress vis-a-vis indicators -in the log-frame.
Required Skills and Expertise:
● Should be competent in use of computers/laptops and has adequate knowledge in the internet etc.
● Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with an ability to work in a multicultural environment.
● Excellent written and oral skills in English, Hindi and Odia.

3. Supporting community mobilization and institution building of the WSHGs/FPOs.
4. Facilitating the research activities by researchers appointed by University of Greenwich and other research partners as per project requirements.
5. Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
6. Regular reporting to the research and project teams as per the prescribed formats.
7. Supporting the team leader in monthly review meetings with various stakeholders.
8. Liaisoning with block and GP level department officials of line departments for implementation of the projects.

1. Master’s or Bachelors with 3 yrs experience in Business Administration / Business Management / Agri-business Management / Agriculture Economics /Rural Development.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager for leading the project – “Ecosystem of Support Services for millets” (Millet Mentor). RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate between multiple stakeholders- clients (millet processing enterprises), training partners, other partner agencies, pool of resource persons and experts.
• Reaching out to existing and upcoming millet enterprises, conducting preliminary audits and working out a plan of action for each client.
• Activity, deliverable and resource planning for the initiative along with regular review and reporting.
• Consistent engagement with partners, on-boarding new partners with relevant capacities and inclination.

• Handholding for clients and site visits for audit -inspection.
• Overall project management with respect to outcomes and timelines.

• Education qualification: Mechanical Engineer/ MBA (Production and Operations Management).

• Coordinating with vendors and clients for pre-installation and installation support up to final sign-off.
• Ensuring the clients’ operating staff understand the technical manuals (machine settings, dos and don’ts, maintenance etc.).
• Technical backstopping to clients through regular engagement, reporting and follow up.
• Support clients in selection of technicians, overseeing training of local technicians and managing their services.
• Necessary Documentation and developing SOPs.
• Regular visits to client units for assessing machine health, processes followed, staff competence etc.
DESIRED PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE
• Education qualification: Mechanical Engineer/ ITI Diploma (Mechanical Engineering)
• Relevant Work Experience: 3-4 years’ experience of working directly with machines in a production unit and/or as part of Operations’ and maintenance team in an industry set up (any industry preferably food processing)
