WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad since 1999. WASSAN is a network-based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rainfed agriculture. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. Currently WASSAN has around 300 employees spread in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Jharkhand.

About ARAKA FPC and Farmer Cooperatives
ARKA FARMERS PRODUCERS COMPANY LIMITED has been established in 2018 in which Bhoomi Puthra Farmers Mutually Aided Cooperative Society Ltd, Doma is also part of. It is promoted and monitored by NABARD From the inception, this CSO has been working for the upliftment of farmers by actively working for reducing synthetic fertilizers and pesticides by promoting Natural farming, Multi cropping, millets production etc. They have been part of Telangana Millets mission as a Facilitating Agency during 2018-19. Currently they have been working with close to 200 farmers in promoting Natural farming in Paddy and other food crops such as multi cropping in Pulses and millets and promoting Kitchen gardens for the household nutritional security. WASSAN has been a technical support partner for ARAKA FPC since 2018.

Job Profile:
We are looking for candidates who are passionate to work with farmers especially with Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), with good communication skill, writing skill along with competency in Accounting and Tally, MS applications including word, excel and PowerPoint. Candidates having prior experience in agriculture/marketing/financial services will be given preference.

Experience:
2+ Years of experience is preferred. Freshers may also apply.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Engaging in Agri-Business activities to promote the products and enhance the profit of the FPO.
• Engagement in the promotion and Nurturing of Farmer Producer Organization at Block Level and its Village level institutions and farmer cooperatives.
• Engagement in FPO and its members to make strategies and planning for Indenting, crop Planning, Sale, and Purchase of Produce.
• Regular field visits for providing handholding support to the community resource persons, and farmers around Agriculture and Market linkages of Produce and Input supplies.
• Building strong rapport with the District & Block Agriculture department, establishing linkages in local and Outstation Agribusiness Marketing for input and output supplies and demand.
• Influencing and drawing support from relevant stakeholders.
• Reviewing, monitoring, and tracking activities, preparation of progress report, and Planning.
• Must possess a two-wheeler and a valid two wheelers license.

Qualification:
Graduate in Agriculture/ MBA(Marketing) / Postgraduate in Social Sciences

• MBA in Agriculture Marketing
• Experience in Accounting, Marketing
• Fluent in both English and Telugu
• Previously work experience in FPO

About the Project
The project aims to strengthen local circular economy through supporting village enterprises and farmers’ institutions that provide critical backward and forward linkages for transition to Natural Farming and increase in farm incomes across three clusters in Satya Sai and Annamayya districts of Andhra Pradesh. The project scope includes eight themes, all which are centred in a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) in the given cluster- establishing local seed system, bio-input enterprises, agriculture service centres, develop local commodity and fresh produce value chain, establish village enterprises in post -harvest management and primary processing, PGS organic certification and supporting FPOs.

Job Description
● Ensure effective design, implementation, and maintenance of Management Information Systems tailored to support the project’s goals and objectives.
● Streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, contributing to informed decision-making and efficient project management
● System Design and Development
● Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand data needs
● Establish efficient data collection mechanisms, ensuring the seamless integration of data from various sources.
● Work closely with field teams to implement data collection protocols and standards in project clusters

● Database Management -Develop and maintain robust databases to store project-related data securely.
● Analysis and Reporting-Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to generate meaningful insights.
● Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for project stakeholders, facilitating evidence-based decision-making.
● Ensure MIS system meet the requirements of Donor reporting with respect to reporting formats, frequency, software etc.
● Conduct training sessions for project staff on the use of MIS tools and systems.
● Ensure Project MIS is consistent with other Project Management Systems/Database at organization level
● Regularly review MIS outputs to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

● Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive project data.

Desired Candidate profile
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Statistics/ Data Science or a related field.
● Proven experience in designing and implementing MIS for projects of reasonable scale, preferably in domain of Rural development
● Proficiency in database management, data analysis tools, and reporting software.
● Knowledge of rural development issues and challenges.
